Dalgarno Neighbourhood Trust
The principal activities of Dalagarno Neighbourhood Trust (DNT) are the provision of educational, training, health social and support services to the community residing in the Dalgarno area of the St. Charles ward in North Kensington. There is a particular focus on the requirements of young people and those who have come to Britain from other countries who form a substantial element of the Dalgarno community, but integration and support of all in the community are constant aims. The services are largely, but not exclusively, centred on the Dalgarno Community Centre on which DNT holds a tenancy from the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC).
Amongst the many activities, some are held in the Peabody Housing Trust’s community rooms, and in William Sutton Housing Association Community Hut, on local playing fields and elsewhere. There is also work undertaken for the development of community cohesion, to ensure that barriers between communities are broken down, and positive relationships are strengthened. DNT wishes to see all the residents of St.Charles ward and surrounding area living in good conditions and leading fulfilling lives. We want to tackle and overcome the barriers preventing people from improving the quality of their life and equip them with the confidence and self-esteem to play an integral role in the community and society, creating a coherent route out of social and economic exclusion.

Children and family:
- Dalgarno Youth Partnership (Youth Services)
- Dalgarno Play Project (after school and holiday programmes)
Education, Employment& Training:
- Adult community learning programmes, including ESOL, IT classes, Literacy, Numeracy, Basic skills and various Training courses.
Health:
- Specific healthy lifestyle projects such as Shout, exercise and keep fit-classes, coffee mornings, healthy juice bar, healthy week, pampering evenings.
Community Centre:
- A range of projects, activities and facilities are provided.
